Ayva left for her new home! Christopher and Christine Arnone, and their three year old Vizsla bitch ‘Ginger’, welcomed Ayva to their home in Dutchess County NY. Ayva will have a great life, with ten acres of property and a pond to romp around in. She’ll also be shown, so Jackie and I will be able to see her grow up.
It rained all weekend for the LI Shows! It rained so hard on Friday that we were sure they would cancel the show, they didn’t! We did show up for the Suffolk County KC and Westbury KC shows on Sat and Sun. Lots of rain and mud, but a chance to show Taylor, and have Carissa and Patty Crowley check out the Chatter/Tosci pups. After stacking them both, they loved the boy ( Max ) , but thought the girl ( Ava ) was ‘wicked cute’ as well . The VCLI meeting was almost a wash out and I had to rush to get the pups out of the rain. All in all, a tough weather weekend! Taylor went Best of Winners both days !
Four days of shows on the East Coast and another show on the West Coast!
We showed Taylor at the Big Apple Sporting Association Show in N.J. on Thursday. I left the show in time to make a Continental flight out of Newark bound for Portland, Oregon. I spent the weekend with Kay and Dick Kraft ( Boardwalk Vizslas ) evaluating ( ok, playing with ) the Chatter/Tosci pups. I missed the Pat Hastings evaluation, but did get brought up to speed by Kay and Dick and Steve and Hejin ( H&H Vizslas ) On Saturday, we took the puppies to the Lane County, KC dog show where there was a Vizsla Specialty! Tosci was entered and showed great! We also got to show off the pups to everyone there and were lucky enough to have Andy Linton take a look.
Meanwhile , Jackie and Taylor were at the shows in N.J. on Friday and Saturday, including the Somerset KC, which was a Vizsla Specialty. I flew back Sunday morning with the two pick puppies! Jackie picked us up and we went straight to the Westchester KC show in Tarrytown N.Y. The Vizsla Specialty was great fun! We got to see all our friends and were able to have Jenna,Karen,Britt and others take a good luck at the pups! Thank you guys! All in all a hectic, but fun weekend. Taylor won his class all four days and went BOS in Sweeps on both Saturday and Sunday. Indie ( Dillon/Billie ) was AOM at both Specialties!
